UPCOMING LITTERS
Thank you for your interest in a Herzog German Shepherd pup! Our upcoming litters can be viewed below. We specialize in puppies with calm temperaments that are suitable for service, therapy, facility work and can do well in a family setting. To do this we choose our parent dogs with even temperaments, good health and correct conformation.
We stay away from high drive dogs as they are often unsuitable for the environments our pups are placed in and require a higher level of training. When we do have a pup that has higher drive requirements we work to match them with an owner who’s up for the challenge as our primary goal is the success of our pups in their new homes.
At this time we offer black and red, solid black and sable pups in long and short coats in our upcoming litters.
For help being matched with the perfect pup for you, or to find out which spots are available in a certain litter, please contact me (Kate Dalman) and we can discuss your needs and wants.

Lewis & Zoria - DUE MARCH 3rd, 2026 - pups will be ready to go home Early May 2026
$3400
ABOUT LEWIS
Lewis is a nice sized male who looks bigger due to his thick long black & red coat. His black mask is striking and although he looks like a force to be reckoned with he’s a happy-go-lucky dog who does well meeting new people and other dogs. He’s the kind of pup that can welcome company into your home but would protect if need be which is the perfect personality for a German Shepherd - one that can read the room and tell the difference between a good stranger and a bad one. Lewis loves to run and play but can calm down when it’s time. He’s happy, eager to please and has it all in terms of health, temperament and conformation.
ABOUT ZORIA
Zoria is truly a breathtaking female. She has a remarkable long, deep red & black coat and winning personality. She has a calm, affectionate demeanor and even temperament. She’s gentle, friendly and loves to lean against you to get chest scratches.
Zoria has a graceful gait and everyone always seems to love her. She’s nurturing to the people she loves and watches over her pack even though she’s not an alpha. She’s agile when she needs to be but is just as happy relaxing with a bone. Zoria’s a prime example of an easy-going gal.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THIS LITTER
Just as the litters Lewis & Zoria have previously had, I expect this litter to reflect the very best of both parents—balanced, stable temperaments, strong overall health, and striking beauty. All puppies from this pairing will have long black and red coats, with rich pigmentation and classic, expressive features that truly define the breed.
Previous puppies from this pairing have demonstrated excellent temperaments and sound health, with confident, steady personalities that make them wonderful to live with and easy to train. We expect this litter to carry on that consistency, producing puppies with strong structure, solid conformation, and clear, thoughtful minds.
These pups should have the intelligence and composure to thrive as devoted family companions, along with the focus and trainability that lends itself well to advanced training, service work, or therapy roles. As with every pairing I plan, this one is intentional—designed to produce dogs that are sound in mind and body, deeply connected to their people, and capable of excelling in the roles they’re placed into.

DRAGO & GRETA - DUE APRIL 3, 2026 - pups will be ready to go home Early June 2026
$3400
ABOUT DRAGO
Drago is a fourth-generation Herzog German Shepherd, carrying the legacy of some of our best dogs. He’s the great-grandson of Godiva and Nero, grandson of Ada and Winston, and son of Uta and Woody—a lineage known for intelligence, even temperaments, and striking good looks. Drago is a well-rounded male with a confident, friendly nature. He has a strong presence and a calm, collected demeanor that makes him both impressive and approachable. He’s the kind of dog who can greet guests with a wagging tail but would not hesitate to step up if ever truly needed—embodying what we consider the ideal German Shepherd temperament. He’s athletic, loves to engage in play, and thrives on interaction, but he also knows when to settle down. Drago is eager to please, highly trainable, and checks every box when it comes to health, structure, and character.
ABOUT GRETA
Greta is a beautiful reflection of her parents, Lewis and Zoria, and we are thrilled to welcome her into our breeding program. She has a confident yet gentle presence, carrying herself with quiet assurance and grace. Greta is affectionate and people-oriented, forming strong bonds with those she trusts and greeting familiar faces with warmth and enthusiasm. She is thoughtful and observant, taking in her surroundings before engaging, which gives her a wonderfully balanced temperament. With other dogs, Greta is social and appropriate, blending playfulness with calm stability. Intelligent and eager to learn, she responds well to training and enjoys working alongside her people. Greta embodies the temperament, structure, and character we strive to preserve, and we’re excited for her future and the generations she represents.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THIS LITTER
This pairing between Drago and Greta is thoughtfully planned to produce puppies with balanced, stable temperaments, strong structure, and excellent trainability. From Drago, we expect confident, approachable puppies with calm, steady personalities and a natural ability to engage while also settling easily. Greta’s influence should add thoughtfulness, composure, and a strong connection to their people.
Together, this litter is expected to produce puppies with clear minds, solid nerves, and the versatility to thrive as devoted family companions, in advanced training, or in service or therapy roles. Structurally, we anticipate sound conformation, athletic movement, and classic German Shepherd expression. These pups will all have black and red coats, some long and some short.
As with all Herzog pairings, this litter is intentionally designed with health, temperament, and longevity in mind—producing dogs that are dependable, well-rounded, and a joy to live with.

ABOUT SABRINA
Sabrina is the epitome of a gentle giant. With her solid black coat long coat, she's a beauty that immediately catches the eye. She’s a couch potato at heart and cherishes her lazy days, always finding the coziest spot to curl up in. Despite her laid-back nature, Sabrina's sweet temperament shines through in her interactions with others, she greets every person with a gentle nudge and a wagging tail. Sabrina is good with other dogs and meets them with a playful demeanor. She’s a smart girl, quickly mastering commands that result in her favorite reward - belly rubs. Sabrina is a joy to have around.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THIS LITTER
We’re expecting a beautiful litter of solid black puppies, both long and short coat. With Lewis and Sabrina’s wonderful temperaments and complementing personalities, these pups should be exceptional in every way — stunning in appearance, confident yet gentle, and deeply people-oriented. Their steady, social natures make them ideal companions for families or individuals looking for that classic German Shepherd balance of loyalty and level-headedness. With a medium to low drive, they’ll fit comfortably into home life and also have the calm, intuitive demeanor well-suited for therapy or service work. I’m truly excited to see this pairing come to life — these pups are sure to carry forward the best traits of both their parents. All of these pups will be black “seal” in color with long coats.

ABOUT FLOKI

Floki is an excellent specimen of the breed, combining both striking presence and exceptional temperament. He carries a rich, dark sable coat that turns heads wherever he goes, paired with strong structure and confident expression. Floki is very willing to meet new people and does so with an open, friendly demeanor that makes him highly approachable. He’s equally reliable around other dogs and smaller animals, demonstrating a steady, well-balanced disposition. While he’s always ready to get up and go when it’s time to work, train, or play, he also possesses an excellent off switch — settling easily in the home and showing the kind of composure that makes him a true pleasure to live with.
ABOUT SKYLAR
Skylar is a breathtaking long coat black & red female. She’s a happy-go-lucky girl who always makes everyone smile. She’s got a good amount of energy but isn’t high drive. Skylar is affectionate and social. She loves people, other dogs and small animals. One of the great things about Skylar is her focus. When she’s given a command she sticks to it. She picks things up very quickly and her focus and love for people results in pups that make excellent service dog candidates for higher level needs. Skylar is ready to go when you are but at the end of the day, her favorite thing is snuggling up with you. Her coat is incredibly soft so she makes the perfect snuggle buddy.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THIS LITTER
From Floki and Skylar’s litter, we expect some truly exceptional puppies both in temperament and appearance. This pairing should produce a beautiful mix of coat colors, with some pups in classic black and red and others in rich dark sable. Skylar carries a gorgeous, more “wild” coat that I’m especially excited to see come through in the dark sable puppies from this litter. Temperament-wise, this is a very complimentary match. Skylar has a strong history of producing pups well-suited for service work, known for their stability, focus, and intuitive nature. Pairing that with Floki’s outgoing personality, willingness to work, social confidence, and excellent off switch, I anticipate these puppies to be highly versatile — capable working partners who are just as enjoyable to live with day to day. I expect this to be an outstanding litter.
Below are our planned pairings - timing of litter will depend on when heat cycles fall
NOTE: HEAT CYCLES ARE NORMALLY TWICE A YEAR AND CAN SHIFT, SKIP, BE EARLY OR LATE.
The following litters are not certain until the female actually conceives. These are our planned pairings but females can miss cycles, may not conceive, may only have 1 sex, small litters, etc. I recommend if you’re placing a deposit for an upcoming planned litter, choose your top favorite pairings and I’ll put you down for the first one that conceives and keep you on as a backup for your other favorites in case she has all one sex or a small litter.

ABOUT BRUCE
Bruce is a long-coated male from Mittelwest who has received top recognition in Schutzhund competition, ranking among the best working dogs in the nation — but that’s not why we chose him. While many high-level competitors have an intensity that can make them challenging in a family environment, Bruce is the rare exception. He’s the full package — stunning in structure, rich in pigment, balanced in drive, and grounded in temperament. He has that “on” switch when it’s time to work, and just as importantly, a true off switch that makes him a joy to live with. Gentle, friendly, and stable, Bruce embodies everything we believe the breed should be: a confident working dog with the heart of a family companion.
ABOUT UTA
Uta is a bundle of love. She consistently comes to me while I’m working and wants a moment of attention. She’ll lift a paw to let me know she’d like me to take a break to pet her. Once she’s had that she’s good to go until her next pet break. She’s highly intelligent and has learned how to get her favorite thing - belly rubs - by walking into my path and dropping to her back wagging her tail and loving every minute of it. She gets me every time. Uta is a medium sized female with a beautiful black mask on her feminine face. Her looks match her sweet demeanor and we couldn’t love her more.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THIS LITTER
I expect this litter to reflect the very best of both parents: balanced temperaments, outstanding health, and striking beauty. These pups will have rich black and red coloring of their coats and solid black masks on their faces. About 50% of the litter will have long coats and the other 50% will have short coats. We expect the pups to have excellent conformation with strong structure and confident, steady personalities. They’ll have the intelligence and composure to excel as devoted family companions, yet the focus and trainability that make them suitable for service and therapy work as well.
Every pairing I’ve made has been with purpose, but this one feels like a culmination — a final expression of the kind of dogs I’ve always aimed to produce: sound in mind and body, loyal, and deeply connected to their people. I can’t wait to see these puppies grow into everything I know they’re meant to be.
